Chess online tournaments - November 2025
Dear parents, Ficheall’s online tournaments are back for November 2025. Tournaments will take place on the following dates:
- 5th November at 6.05pm
- 12th November at 6.05pm
- 19th November 1.05pm (in school) and 6.05pm
- 26th November – Lá Fichille – 1.05pm (in school) and 6.05pm
The host website is Lichess.com - It is free all you need to do it set up and account.
Login to your own lichess accounts and follow the link below and click on JOIN team. NB - The children must be a member of the school team in order to participate in the tournament. Please ensure that they have joined and been approved to join in advance of the tournament.

Each week have a different tournament and must be joined prior to the tournament commencing.

Once they have joined the tournament; They just wait in the tournament lobby until it begins and they will be paired with an opponent automatically.
The tournaments last for 45 mins. Once a match is completed, they wait to be paired with another opponent. Do not leave the lobby.
